Bobby and Tiffany Gaither met at Simpson University in the fall of 2001 and married in 2006. The Gaither house is brimming with delightful children, ages 7, 5, 3, and 18 months. Tiffany graduated from Simpson with a double major in Liberal Arts (Education) and Music, and she also holds her master’s degree in Cross-Cultural Education. She has been a music educator since 2002, and has taught from grade school to college levels. She is a gifted vocalist and pianist, and a recognized music teacher in Salem-Keizer public schools. She has served the local church in music ministry as a pianist and vocalist and has led worship on several occasions. Bobby completed his Psychology degree, with a certificate in Contemporary Church Music, and is currently working towards his Master of Divinity at Western Seminary in Portland. Bobby has worked in several industries prior to working at the church, including education, insurance, and business. He has been in full‑time ministry at Grace Baptist Church since the Fall of 2008, but he has held many ministry positions previous to Grace Baptist Church and alongside his employment there. His ministry roles have included: Worship Pastor, Young Adult Pastor, Adjunct Professor, Bible Study Leader, and service on both missions and property committees.
Bobby is now working to plant Doxa Church in Southwest Portland, OR. The Gaithers, along with a few other families, seek to be a community of believers who treasure the beauty and glory of God in Christ, and be transformed by His glory so that others may taste and see that He is good (2 Cor 3:18; Psa. 34:8). (Doxa is the Greek word for glory.) From the beginning, Doxa Church intentionally seeks men and women to disciple and send out as ministers of the gospel to all communities and nations. Doxa Church seeks to publicly launch in January, 2017 but will start meeting in July, 2016. Doxa Church will begin under the oversight of ARM Ministries until a future date when the church can be established as a separate organization. The church leadership is also accountable by a board of pastors and ministry leaders who will function as a Leadership Team, both for spiritual and financial accountability for Doxa Church. These men will be listed on their website, along with a means to contact them.
- That God would continue to bring the right people to come alongside the team at Doxa Church, that we may be unified and mutually submissive to each other and the Word of God, and become a launching pad for other ministers of the gospel.
- That God’s provision would come about in a way that honors His name, equips His church, and furthers His Kingdom.
- That the Gaither family would develop relationships with others who would support them in prayer and finances for the work of the ministry.
