Haiti Christian Foundation of the Good Seed

“As for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it. He indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty.” (Matt. 12:23)

Haiti Christian Foundation of the Good Seed is a ministry operated by ARM Ministries Missionary, Riccardo St. Gelus. The vision behind HCFGS is to create an association of pastors and church leaders who will establish gospel-based churches throughout the country, particularly in areas outside the capital city of Port-au-Prince, where most other organizations currently concentrate their efforts. These churches will preach the gospel, train pastors and leaders, and serve the people through operations such as orphanages and Christian schools.

HCFGS is being formed as an official foundation for recognition by the Haitian government. This will allow the organization to participate in government services (such as food supplies for orphanages) with greatly reduced taxation. This will also allow the foundation to import goods with greatly reduced customs fees. HCFGS is seeking donations of around $3,000 USD to establish a necessary bank account (like a surety bond) and finalize the legal paperwork needed to establish government recognition of the foundation.

The foundation owns two hectares (about five acres) of property South of the city of Saut-d’eau that was donated in 2012. The primary property location, outline, and information can be viewed online through Google Maps. An irrigation project to connect the well at a local USAID station to increase crop production on the property is being completed through ministry partners in 2013. Those crops, when sold locally, can be used to fund the ministry directly. The foundation also maintains a website at http://htcfoundationgs.org/.
