Terry is from the Himalayan foothills of Northeast India and Ruth is a family practice physician assistant from Pennsylvania, USA. They met in his hometown while she was there on a short-term trip, serving among his people group. God gradually grew their friendship into a lifelong love story and partnership. They got married in the US in March of 2019 and then moved back to Terry’s village in India in March of 2020.
They are currently involved in local community development, mentoring, health education and medical advising. Terry also has a passion to invest in intentional entrepreneurial opportunities that will encourage economic growth and sustainability. They are working towards starting a small business as a way to bless the community, build relationships and share the love of Jesus. In addition to learning language and adapting to a new culture, Ruth loves spending time encouraging and counseling others, both in health-related issues as well as in personal growth
