Sam Cherian is from South India. At the age of twelve, he committed his life to be a missionary, following the footsteps of his parents and grandparents. After completing his masters in microbiology, the Lord confirmed the missionary call when Sam encountered people in his nearby villages who have not even heard the name ‘Jesus.’ This eye opener challenged him to obey the Lord’s voice. God opened ways for Sam to pursue his Master of Theology and Master of Arts in Christian Leadership from Dallas Theological Seminary.
In 2013, Sam returned to his hometown, the ‘Temple City’ where he continues to serve the Lord. In 2014, he married Sheeba, who was serving the Lord among college students. Sam and Sheeba are blessed with a little girl, Samantha.
Sam and Sheeba believe that missions, evangelism and church planting are the core areas to focus to fulfill the Great Commission. Sam looks after the Bible Training College which his grandfather started as a small discipleship program. Their mission is to train young men and women to be true disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. In 2014, they initiated a small residential Bachelors in Theology program for young men mostly from rural areas. They conduct ongoing teaching modules for believers, especially pastors and wives to help them grow in the Word and assist evangelists in strengthening village churches. Sam is also actively involved in shepherding and teaching in the local church.
Sheeba complements Sam by ministering among women and youth. The Lord is helping her to exercise her gifts of hospitality, teaching and administration. They are passionate about taking the Love of Christ to people through teaching the Scripture and serving in love.
